Novagya Tech ("we," "our," or "us") built the ScanIQ application ("App") as a freemium application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

By downloading, accessing, or using ScanIQ, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

We do not require you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number to use the App.

Any text, notes, or annotations you add to your documents are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to our servers.

1.2 Device Permissions

Permission Purpose
Camera Required to capture photos of documents, receipts, ID cards, and books for scanning.
Storage & Media Used to import images/PDFs and save exported scans locally on your device.
Biometric Authentication Allows you to secure the app using fingerprint or face recognition locally on your device.
Internet Required for ads, Firebase services, and Google Play Billing.
Notifications Used for scan completion alerts and important updates.

1.3 Automatically Collected Information

  • Crash and performance data through Firebase Crashlytics.
  • Anonymous app usage analytics through Firebase Analytics.
  • Advertising identifiers used by ad partners like AdMob.
  • Remote configuration data for app settings.

1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Your scanned documents or PDFs.
  • Biometric data.
  • Location data.
  • Contacts, microphone, or SMS data.

2. How We Process Your Data

2.1 On-Device Processing

All document scanning, OCR, QR code generation, watermarking, and PDF export features are processed entirely on your device.

2.2 Text Recognition (OCR)

OCR functionality uses Google Play Services Vision API and processes data locally on your device.

2.3 Local Data Storage

Scanned document metadata and files are stored locally on your device and are not synced to our servers.

3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

All purchases are securely processed through Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
