1. Introduction & Privacy Commitment

Welcome to FinCal, developed and published by The Code Yogi ("we", "us", or "our"). FinCal is an all-in-one financial calculation, estimation, and business utility suite designed to assist users with loan EMI calculations, investment projections (SIP, SWP, Lumpsum, CAGR), retirement planning, banking simulations (FD, RD), GST/business calculations, and commercial invoice generation.

We are firmly committed to protecting your privacy. We believe that financial planning and personal computational utilities must respect user confidentiality. FinCal is built on a Privacy-by-Design and Zero-Data-Collection architecture: we do not collect, monitor, track, profile, transmit, or monetize your personal or financial records.

2. Non-Lending & Statutory Financial Disclaimer

In adherence to global app store policies (including the Google Play Financial Services and Personal Loans Policy):

Mathematical Utility Only: FinCal is strictly an independent mathematical simulation and calculation tool.
No Lending Services: FinCal is not a bank, non-banking financial company (NBFC), money lender, credit broker, loan arranger, or credit originator.
No Loan Disbursement: The application does not issue, facilitate, underwrite, broker, or disburse loans, lines of credit, or debt instruments of any kind.
No Account Access: The application never requests, accesses, or requires bank credentials, net-banking passwords, UPI PINs, debit/credit card numbers, or credit bureau / credit score reports.
Estimation Purpose: All figures generated by FinCal (such as loan EMIs, interest totals, investment growth, retirement corpuses, and tax estimations) are theoretical mathematical illustrations. Actual financial terms, interest rates, and investment returns depend on individual agreements with licensed financial institutions, market fluctuations, and statutory regulations.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect any personal data or sensitive user information through FinCal. Specifically:

No Personally Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, government IDs, PAN numbers, Aadhaar numbers, or Social Security numbers.
No Financial Data: We do not collect or store bank account numbers, income details, asset balances, salary records, credit card credentials, or payment information on external servers.
No Device or Network Identifiers: We do not collect or track your device IMEI, MAC address, Advertising ID (AAID/IDFA), IP address profiles, or hardware serial numbers.
No Location Data: We do not access, track, or collect your real-time GPS or network-based geographic location.
No Biometric or Media Data: We do not access your biometric authentication, photos, videos, contacts, or microphone.

4. Information Processed Locally on Your Device

To provide core app functionality, FinCal processes and stores certain information exclusively on your local device using sandboxed storage (such as the Hive embedded database engine):

Calculation Inputs & History: Numeric values you enter (principal loan amounts, interest rates, tenures, SIP installment amounts, GST figures, etc.) are computed and saved locally so you can review previous calculations.
Invoice Drafts & Business Profiles: Business names, addresses, item descriptions, and tax rates entered for invoice creation are saved exclusively in your device's internal private storage.
App Preferences: Your preferred currency selection (e.g., INR, USD, EUR, GBP), favorite calculators, and display settings are retained locally for your convenience.

None of this data is ever transmitted to The Code Yogi servers, cloud databases, or third-party analytics providers.

5. Network Requests & External APIs

FinCal can function fully offline for standard mathematical calculations. For live market indicators, the app connects to select public, read-only third-party informational APIs:

Public Exchange Rates (Frankfurter API): Fetches publicly available foreign exchange reference rates from api.frankfurter.dev.
Mutual Fund NAVs (MFAPI): Fetches public mutual fund Net Asset Value (NAV) historical data from api.mfapi.in.

Important: These requests are anonymous, read-only GET requests. They do not send any user identity, account numbers, calculation values, or personal metadata to these API endpoints.

6. Device Permissions & Data Sharing

FinCal operates with minimal system permissions:

Internet Access: Used exclusively to download public reference data (exchange rates, mutual fund NAVs) and font packages.
Document Generation & Export: When you generate an invoice or amortization report as a PDF, the document is compiled in your device's temporary memory. When you choose to print or share a document, the app uses your operating system's native share dialog. We have no access to the destination or recipient of your shared files.

7. Third-Party Advertising & Tracking

FinCal does not include third-party advertising SDKs (such as Google AdMob, Unity Ads, or Meta Audience Network). We do not display targeted ads, and we do not participate in cross-app or cross-site tracking networks.

FinCal does not incorporate third-party behavioral analytics, crash profiling trackers, or telemetry SDKs (such as Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, or AppsFlyer).

8. Data Retention, Backup, and Deletion

Because all calculation history, invoice drafts, and preferences are stored exclusively on your device:

Data Retention: Data remains stored locally within your application sandbox until you choose to delete it or clear the app storage.
User Control & Deletion: You have complete, unilateral control over your data. You can delete all locally stored records at any time by:
1. Opening your device's Settings > Apps > FinCal > Storage and tapping "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage"; or
2. Uninstalling FinCal from your device, which automatically purges all sandboxed application data.
No Cloud Records: Because we do not transmit or store your information on external servers, we hold no user data to retrieve, modify, or erase upon request.

9. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

FinCal is a general-purpose financial calculation utility. It is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 within the European Union and United Kingdom). Because we do not collect personal information from any user, we do not knowingly collect, request, or maintain personal information from children.

10. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and International Frameworks)

Depending on your jurisdiction, data protection laws (such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the California Consumer Privacy Act) grant users specific privacy rights, including:

The right to know what personal data is collected, used, or disclosed.
The right to request the deletion of personal information.
The right to opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal data.
The right to non-discrimination for exercising privacy rights.

Because FinCal operates strictly on-device without collecting, storing, processing, selling, or sharing your personal data on external servers, these statutory protections are inherently fulfilled by design.

11. Security of Your Information

We prioritize data protection through architectural simplicity: by storing calculation history and invoice details strictly on your local device, your records remain protected by your device's operating system security controls (including device passcodes, biometric lock screens, and hardware-level app sandboxing). We recommend maintaining current operating system security updates and enabling a secure screen lock on your mobile device.

12. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect modifications in statutory regulations, app store requirements, or enhancements to our application features. Any revised policy will be posted with an updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of FinCal after any modifications constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
